Dr. Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald Memorial Museum
Fr. R. Kreutzwald, the creator of the Estonian national epic, „Kalevipoeg,“ lived 44 years of his life (1833–1877) in Võru. His house was built shortly after Võru was founded and, therefore, is one of the oldest houses in the town. The museum is furnished as the home of the writer and doctor, as it could have been at his time in Võru. Besides presenting the working and living rooms of the writer’s home, the museum offers also expositions on literature, Kreutzwald’s creative works, and several other topics.
